Police Department

The Laurium Police Department was established in 1895 when Laurium was incorporated into a village.

The Station is located in the Laurium Village Hall at 310 Hecla Street, Laurium Michigan 49913. 

The Station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Officers are not always on duty, but one can be called in at any time. 

The Laurium Police department patrols 11 miles of streets. This is from Calumet St. (Boundary St.) to Isle Royale St. and from Old Colony Rd to South Calumet St. 

In the case of any medical emergency, personal injury accident, or to assist another police officer or department anywhere within reason the department will leave it's jurisdiction..
